SynthFont V.2 Full, is a software for editing and playing MIDI files using various audio source files such as SoundFont ‘sf2’ format and proprietary compressed ‘sfkr’ format, GigaSampler files, SFZ files and more. You can also use VST instruments instead of an audio source file. A MIDI file differs from an MP3 file, for example, in that it does not contain audio data. Instead, the file is a collection of notes and instructions on how to play them. SynthFont combines this data with the audio data from a SoundFont to produce (“render”) an audio version of the song.
